Active Shooter Awareness Training LIMITED

This training will provide scenario training for situations that involve an active shooter within the school building. The training scenarios will give participants live practice with strategies associated with the Lock Out option of the district’s intruder protocol. These simulations will be conducted by SJPD officers and building SROs to prepare participants for the sounds and sights associated with active shooter situations. The follow up to this training will be conducted in every building through tabletop discussions in March/April. Those participating in this training will provide valuable information and strategies to share with staff in their home buildings when these tabletop discussions take place.
