This session will take you through several writing activities that you can take back and use with your students. Each can be differentiated for any grade or skill level.

In this session, science teachers will explore effective instructional moves and strategies designed to enhance student performance on performance events and constructed response items. Participants will learn how to guide students in making connections to key concepts, developing critical thinking skills, and clearly articulating their understanding. Strategies will include targeted questioning, formative assessments, and structured response formats that foster deeper comprehension and analysis. Teachers will leave with actionable techniques to support student success on high-stakes assessments and in everyday learning.
